Edward HOLDSWORTH

On May 15th, 1966, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Constable Holdsworth responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Woodbine Avenue, immediately north of the hamlet of Vandorf. The vehicle involved in the accident had struck a hydro pole, killing the driver. Upon approaching the vehicle, Constable Holdsworth tripped over a high voltage wire which was not readily visible in the long grass. Constable Holdsworth sustained fatal injuries as a result. Constable Holdsworth was twenty-one years old at the time of his death and was engaged to be married.
