NEWMARKET, ON – November 12, 2019 – This holiday season will be a bit brighter for people in York Region! York Regional Police Association (YRPA) is partnering with Jewel 88.5 FM to spread some holiday cheer this season with Random Acts of Christmas. The goal of this initiative is to share gifts and financial support to families and individuals in York Region that could use some help this Christmas.
“Our uniformed and civilian members of York Regional Police Association wanted to do something special this holiday season and make a difference in the communities we serve,” said Todd Sepkowski, President, York Regional Police Association. “Random Acts of Christmas is our way of giving back to York Region, and helping to bring the magic of Christmas alive.”
“As a York Region radio station, we’re proud to serve members of the community. Our partnership with York Regional Police Association gives us an opportunity to help those who may not have the financial means to celebrate the holidays,” said Program Director, Gary Gamble, Jewel 88.5.
Through a public nomination process, Random Acts of Christmas will identify York Region families or individuals that could use some help or a pick-me up this holiday season.
